I had a crown put on, and now I have been having so much pain in my jaw that it has gone into my ear and head. They are saying that I need a root canal, and that they cannot get me in until the end of the week. They gave me Vicodin. I started taking the medicine yesterday, and I am still in so much pain I can hardly stand it. The medicine is not working.

I have pain when touching, biting down, on an old crowed molar. I'm traveling for the next ten days but I think the least expensive way to solve my problem may be to extract it rather than root canal it. I'm on social security now and do not have insurance.

I recently had a crown on a top of a back molar. I have had consistent pain for over two weeks after the temp crown and now after the permanent crown. It is totally manageable with 200 MG of Motrin every four hours. If a late on the Motrin dose the pain returns. I am traveling and can't get to a dentist for at least a week.

I found my self up at three in the morning scouring the Internet for pain relief from a toothache. My tooth is half gone and I have no way to get it fixed and I couldn't take the pain any more aspirin works really well for a awhile, but you build a tolerance then I tried vanilla extract I didn't think it was going to work but to my pleasant surprise it worked very well sore but no pain I can sleep now.

I'm suffering from severe toothache for the last 2 days due to origin of new tooth at the jaw. I'm 2 years old and female. This probably is making me suffer for the last 2 years. The teeth try to come out but finally they do not and almost every 6 months I have to suffer for this.

A recent toothache bottom left molar (no. 18) was repaired with my first root canal at the suggestion of my long time family dentist. Excellent dental history. However, I'm still experiencing discomfort and pain. It's as if nothing was done. I know there is no root and there should be no pain. I don't understand. What is up? I'm reluctant to revisit my dentist and look like an idiot, but I need relief.

utilize Ambesol along with very cold compresses to temporarily ease the pain. Throbbing and intense, the pain feels as though it is emanating from the tooth itself and the surrounding gum area always has certain spots where I can feel the pain emanating from more intensely. I apply and hold Ambesol with my pinky finger and hold it there with very little pressure, which I feel helps the product to work a bit better! Anyone with this pain knows that even the strongest of narcotic pain relievers will not ease it. It is the pain of an infection in the area. Antibiotics are the only thing that can and do stop the pain and then the issue must be dealt with, if not the pain will return but only worse!

I am currently coping with an abscess in a molar tooth that had a root canal and crown done about 3 years ago. If it can't be fixed today, I will have it pulled today. This is the worst pain imaginable. Percocet doesn't even help at all. I am currently taking 800 mg. Motrin every 6 hours and Tylenol 1000 mg in between. Hope my liver holds out. On the 1-10 pain scale, this is a 20. I do have a high tolerance for pain. I went through labor and delivery of my son with no pain medicine, no epidural, no nothing. Also broke my leg in 3 places several years ago and coped without meds. Anyone who hasn't had tooth pain can't understand how bad it is.
