If you've been tested for or diagnosed with SIBO, has IBS also been considered? Please share your experience.

I suffered from explosive flatulence, burping, indigestion and fatigue for most of my adult life. I believe my SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) was hereditary, after viewing pictures of my father (deceased) who had the same bloated stomach that I had. I became aware of SIBO after reading an article in a daily newspaper. I visited my general physician who had never heard of it, who proceeded to give me a prescription for antibiotics. Worked a treat for 18 months after which another course was required. And again this worked really well. After this second course of antibiotics I decided I didn"t want to be taking them all my life so I looked for a natural method of controlling my problem. I came across kefer and was amazed at the difference. My stomach bloat disappeared and the flatulence, etc., reduced considerably. I use the powdered version with long lasting milk. I take it every day and cannot believe how much energy I now have.
