What are the causes of gallbladder pain?

The pain of gallbladder disease almost always has one of two causes - gallstones or cholecystitis. Gallstones are stones that form in the gallbladder (often misspelledgall bladder). They vary in size from a millimeter or two to several centimeters and are made up of cholesterol or pigment. Cholecystitis means inflammation of the gallbladder. Although, cholecystitis is most commonly caused by gallstones, there are other less common causes as well.

Two cases happened. One gallbladder attack was caused by taking an oregano supplement. It caused immediate gallbladder pain and I ended up requiring a procedure to vacuum sludgy bile out of the ducts through my mouth. A couple of years later, I took an oregano oil pill and very soon after that had a gallstone-passing attack of pain that lasted for weeks. I have since changed my mind about concentrated oregano products.

OMG. I just went through horrible pain with my gall bladder. I was in the hospital for 4 days in horrible constant pain. No surgeon wanted to take my gall bladder out because all my test were normal. No one could figure out the problem. Eventually, I convinced a surgeon to remove it. I just read your statement about the Oregano Oil. I have been taking it everyday for the last 2 months. I know others that do too. Thank you so much for your warning although it's too late for me. I am feeling better.
