I went to the doctor he did blood work and X-Rays of my lungs and I did 3 different breathing test well I leave with 3 new prescriptions and after I leave he calls my phone no says no wonder your in pain when you breath you have had phenomena for awhile. I said what ? I have not felt sick at all just breathing problems its been hurting for over a month I went by ambulance n they didn't catch it a month ago so it just got worse.

I watch my grandson 4 days a week. Healthy 58 yr old. Got a headache on a Thursday afternoon that wouldn't go away. Went to bed early & rose around midnight with general achy muscles. Felt bad all day Friday, thought maybe flu. By 5:30 Saturday morn I was feeling worse. Went to Dr. at 8:15 am & was sent by ambulance to hospital for evaluation of possible heart attack or blood clot. Turns out it was "massive pneumonia" in both lungs, all lobes. Spent 10 days on oxygen, double antibiotics. It's been 3 months & I'm back on nebulizer & inhaler due to shortness of breath. Making appt to see Dr. again next week.

I have pneumonia; I am a College student on break. I started symptoms during the first week of break the night I came home from a root canal surgery and I was on a course of amoxicillin for the abscess tooth. My symptoms have been consistent, painful cough, nasty sputum, green/brown thick smelly and foul. I have an intense headache, sick to stomach, weak, muscle ache, intense lack of energy. No other symptoms at all, no sore throat, no sneezing pain when breathing in and constant noisy breath, like popcorn breathing. I am in great health, exercise, thin. Illness has been going 3 weeks strong.

Chest pain and hoarseness began Monday morning. By Tuesday I had severe chest and back pain, slight non productive cough. Wednesday: SEVERE HEADACHE, no sleep, fever ranging between 102.2 - 103.4, severe chest and back pain, non-productive cough that caused the pain to go higher than a 10 on the pain scale, chills, sweats, shortness of breath, wheezing, felt HORRIBLE! I went to the ER and after being given a Flu Test (negative), several rounds of Neb Treatments, chest X-rays and medications. I was sent home being told I had Bronchitis. I received a call from the hospital 5 hours after leaving ER to be told the doctor reviewed my X-Ray and I do have Pneumonia and be sure to take all the medications prescribed. Not quite 24 hours later, my headache is better; the non-productive cough is unbearably painful with every muscle being pulled from my lower stomach, chest and back. Still have a slight fever, SEVER SWEATING, no bladder control upon cough, cold symptoms. RX: Antibiotics, Steroid, Cough Syrup w/ Codeine, Inhaler and Motrin. FINALLY slept for 3 FULL hours but woke to another soaked night shirt.

I am 47 and healthy. I had a cold over Christmas but felt it was pretty much over. One evening, I was out for a walk and had an odd headache (I never get these). I got up in the morning with severe chills, vomiting, heart pounding, shortness of breath, and a fever. I went to the ER thinking something was wrong with my heart. It turned out I had bilateral pneumonia. I stayed in the hospital one day only to be told my white blood cell count was through the roof and much higher than when I was first admitted, as was my heart rate. I stayed there three days, and I am now home with antibiotics, probiotics and painkillers. My left lung really hurts, as does my back.
