Several days, about 5, after radical prostate surgery I awoke during the night with severe stabbing pain in the right thigh. Burning sensation, stabbing feeling and numbness all occurring at the same time; I thought I possibly was having a stroke. Eight months ago the hospital diagnosed it as a superficial blood clot. Recent diagnosis, by my MD, is that I have nerve damage called Neuralgia Paresthetica.

I started with a pinched sciatic nerve 3 years ago. Had the MRI and the entire doctor said was when do you want to have surgery? I think he just wanted the money because I was only 41 at the time and didn't want back surgery. Now I am 44 and they are telling me I had a stroke even though the MRI showed nothing. I am to the point I don't know where to go next. I have pain down my right leg with no feeling of hot or cold in my whole right side. Life like this is not worth living at my age.

I have extreme pain and burning at times in the left and right legs but in my right legs I have a less pain and burning all the time. The pain and burning runs down the top and side of my upper leg in the thigh area and my right hip mainly will give extreme pain but my left is not as bad. Is this a pinched nerve?

I am scheduled for surgery to have a bulging disc removed from my nerve in my lower lumbar area. The experience I am having is pain radiating down my left leg to my ankle then I have tingling and numbness in the foot area along with a pinching feeling in my thoracic area. This is not a good feeling.

I have suffered with severe pain in my lower back/left hip and left thigh for the last 8 months and the doctors are still trying to diagnose it. When I bend/ kneel/ stretch or lift I get a lot of pain in the 3 areas I previously described. I have been sent for physio, MRI, x-ray, and many medicals and examinations. I am being prescribed with tramadol. The pain I receive is always there and never lets up and it is always a sharp, burning, throbbing, or pinching pain.

I have numbness and tingling in the third finger which came immediately after lifting a heavy and awkward box using the underside of my forearm instead of my hand. The edge of the box pressed on my forearm to cause this condition. I am wondering if the numbness will go away or will I likely require medical attention.

My pinched nerve made me feel like my hip was dislocated and my back was broken. I couldn't pick up my daughter or get in and out of the car. It was a nightmare. I am almost healed. There is 99% less pain. I sleep with a pillow under my knees as high as I can get them and when I sleep on my side, I have a pillow between my legs. I have gone from using Percocet and Robax 8, to just Tylenol for the inflammation. I went to the chiropractor 3 times and that helped, but the muscles have become so weak. So I started to do side leg lifts and sit-ups, and stretches and that has improved it immensely. I do a lot of squatting and that makes all the difference in the world. Good luck to you all. I don't recommend these to my worst enemy.

I have numbness in fingers of my right hand. It hasn't had an effect on any activities, such as golf. My grip seems to be fine. My finger tips just feel numb. Other than that I'm okay.

I experience neuropathy in my hands, primarily the 4th and 5th fingers, whenever I have my elbows bent for more than a few minutes. Straightening my elbows provides quick relief.
