I am 31 and found out I had fibormyalgia just in September 2010. I've been dealing with pain for years everyone I told thought I was making it up when I explained my body pain. I found out I was 2 months pregnant in November. Now I'm 5 months and I hurt like hell, and there is no medication I can take or nothing I can do for my pain. I will take the pain for my baby.

I had a very good doctor who helped me out a lot with my fibromyalgia. I read online a lot and found several new remedies which he would evaluate, seeing which methods we should try or not. One day I came in and asked for a prescription for Medical Marijuana. It's been 7 months now of smoking while taking 2 Ibuprofen and 2 Tylenol 3's for my pain.

I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis and none of the medications (tramadol, Lyrica, gabapentin, Flexeril, Celebrex) have helped me. I still have to work 8 hours a day in housekeeping at a local hotel. I love my job but am in constant pain. The only relief I get is from narcotics. It's like pulling teeth to get a doctor to prescribe them. I have changed my diet to fruits and veggies, daily exercise nothing works!

I am a 54 year woman. I have had fibromyalgia for about 15 years. The best thing I ever did was to investigate massage for pain relief. I went to a Balinese masseur who specialized in eastern medicine. He used to laugh at me because of the pressure he had to apply to my body for me to feel any relief. Then he started using a technique called 'chinese cold wind treatment.' This is when a metal type loop is rubbed over affected areas which immediately produce a red, blood type rash and the pain just as quickly rises from deep within the muscle to the surface. You are left looking like a zebra and the marks fade to yellow-type bruising but for me it was instant pain relief. I simply could not believe it. No drugs, just this treatment, plus gentle exercise have helped me to keep it at bay. Plus diet (limited caffeine and acidic foods).

I am a 60 y/o ADD male. I have had fibromyalgia symptoms for as far back as I can recall, this includes clinical depression, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. My pain tolerance is moderately high, and very high tolerance to drugs of most sorts. Good resistance to insect bites/stings. Two weeks ago I had a couple of vertebra fused using a piece of my hip bone. Last week I was stung on the finger by a wasp. The swelling lasted for three days vice the usual 30-45 minutes. It seemed triggered fibromyalgia attacks for five days several times a day at an unbelievable intensity. I cannot remember ever having that intense pain from any cause n my life. Just wondering how a wasp sting could trigger that.

I am 30 years old, and as engineer I work all time on PC. Having an old neck and hand bad pain, i made MRI to my neck and all Romanticism blood test. Only spasm in the neck muscle appears in the MRI, tests are very clean. My doctor said that I have Fibromyalgia, and he gave me "Cipralex" as treatment for 2 months. I just started it 2 -3 weeks ago, I feel that I am a little better but I am afraid from side effects within the treatment time and after stopping treatment. Would you please advise me. Thanks for reading.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 24. I am now 48. Only two things have brought relief: pregnancy and Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC). I use the Isotonix brand. I take three servings a day and have my life back. No pain. No drugs. Good luck to you all. I hope someday they find a cure.
