Patient Comments: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome - Signs and Symptoms

Do you know someone affected by fetal alcohol syndrome? What were the first symptoms and signs of the condition?

Comment from: tryingtobeagoodmom, 7-12 Female (Caregiver) Published: February 26

My adopted daughter was diagnosed around age 3 with fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS). She was referred to Early On services at age 16 months due to developmental delays. Everything was delayed; sitting up, walking, talking. She also has low muscle tone.
